A throw-up by Toronto graffiti artist "Ford"

A new graffiti writer has come to Toronto and he is sparking quite an outrage from other street artists. FORD, currently one of the most active writers in the city, has given graffiti new meaning. Considered by many as a post-contemporary abstract artist, FORD has spurned the support of his fellow graffiti writers by covering others’ works with his own… more information at http://intergraff.com/updatedetail.html.

Launched last week, the second version of the Apple application that allows users to create digital graffiti, sequel to Graffiti Spray Can, with the completely original title of Graffiti Spray Can 2, is now available on iPad. You can choose between different urban wallpapers to paint on and it has a digital spray can sound, so you can pretend you are shaking a can… even though you’re not.

Lame.

There is nothing satisfying about making a virtual piece.

The good news is, it is a free app, so if you don’t have an iPad, all you have to do is ask your mom to buy you one, and you can make all the fake graffiti you want.

Happy New Year!

Detroit, Michigan is Intergraff’s first city for the New Year. Check it out by clicking: Detroit Graffiti.

But, what we really want to know is: what city would you like to see online? Drop us a line at archiving@intergraff.com, and tell us what city you want to see graffiti pictures from.

Got graffiti pics? Even better, send them to submissions@intergraff.com, if it they are from a new city, we will add that city ASAP. Thanks a bunch to everyone who has already submitted photos. You’re helping give birth to a great graffiti archive.

Have you tried Kinect, the new gaming platform by Microsoft? It uses motion sensors to put you in the game, eliminating the need for a video game controller.

Well, ThriXXX has created an unofficial sex game for Kinect, giving pleasure to lonely guys in a whole new way.

Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse

Not totally graffiti related, but since you might already be out tonight, take a look at the moon, if you can find it. At 1:32am EST, which is only a few minutes away, you won’t be able to see it because the Earth’s shadow will be blocking it. It will then turn a reddish colour for 72 minutes between 2:41am EST to 3:53am EST. Only us North Americaners will be able to see the whole thing, most other countries will have this spectacle interrupted by sunlight. Damn that sunlight, it’s always getting in the way.

Updates Galore!

Filed under: Uncategorized — intergraff @ 7:02 am

The team at Intergraff has been working double time to add thousands of new photos to the archive in the last few days. We started off with a huge update for Toronto, Canada, which added over 1100 new photos to the site.

The collection of photos from Italy has been improved with updates for Bologna and Firenze (Florence), as well as the introduction of Venezia (Venice). Intergraff is the first website we know of to showcase graffiti from this one-of-a-kind city.

About an hour ago, Ireland was put on the map with graffiti from Dublin, Limerick, and Cork.

We have a lot more updates planned for the near future, including a massive one for Montreal, Canada, so keep checking us out.

Don’t want to miss a thing? Go to our “news” section and sign up to receive our RSS feed. You’ll automatically get an email every time we have a big update.

Intergraff’s New Blog

Filed under: Uncategorized — intergraff @ 9:55 pm

Welcome to Intergraff’s new blog!

Intergraff.com was on hiatus over the summer while the team was travelling the world, gathering pictures of graffiti, but we are back in full force. We are continuously adding all of this content to the website, but we won’t stop there. We are still travelling and still photographing, so if your city is not online yet, don’t fret, we are working on it, but we would love your help; if you have any photographs of graffiti from anywhere in the world, send us an email at submissions@intergraff.com.

Speaking of, we want to give a big thank you to all of you who have already submitted photos. Your submissions greatly improve the archive and really make it a better site for all of us.

We are also trying to improve Intergraff’s functionality and are working on making it super easy to navigate. If you have any comments, suggestions, or anything else you think might improve Intergraff, send us an email.

Finally, don’t forget to add us on twitter, our name is Intergraff1.

Stay tuned for a load of updates this month!
